Mountainair Real Estate

Mountainair, population approximately 900, is a village in southern Torrance County at the junction of US-60 and NM-55. Known as the "Gateway to Ancient Cities," Mountainair serves as the headquarters for Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, whose three units — Quarai, Abó, and Gran Quivira — preserve remarkably intact 17th-century Spanish mission churches and prehistoric pueblo ruins. The village has attracted a small but active artist community, and properties are very affordable compared to the broader Central New Mexico market.
