Go Farmington Means Business!
The Farmington Chamber of Commerce Inc. is organized for the purpose of serving and advancing the civic and business interests of the City of Farmington and the Four Corners region. Incorporated in January, 1953, the Farmington Chamber is a volunteer association of business people who coordinate efforts of commerce, industry and professions to maintain a healthy business environment in our community. The Farmington Chamber is financed by membership investments and is open to any business deciding to invest in the betterment of the community. We work closely with our community partners; Four Corners Economic Development, San Juan Community College, the City of Farmington, San Juan County, the Farmington Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Small Business Development Center, the Enterprise Center, and the Dineh Chamber of Commerce to help promote economic development, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Jamie Church has been the President and CEO of the Farmington Chamber since January 2019, after serving on its Board of Directors for 5 years. Prior to taking on the position of President & CEO, Jamie was employed as the Development Director for the Childhaven Foundation for 12 years. Following her time with Childhaven Children’s Emergency Shelter, she went to work for Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado as a Major Gifts Officer. She has served as a Farmington Redcoat Ambassador, and has been instrumental in fostering networking events such as the Focus on Farmington and Four Corners Professionals networking coffees and events. She has previously served two consecutive terms on the San Juan Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Hospital Board of Directors and currently serves on the Four Corners Economic Development Board. As Chamber CEO, Jamie places priority on small business development and success and the Chambers advocacy role.
Jamie strongly believes in supporting and promoting local business and future economic enterprise and development and believes in the goal of the Chamber to “Connect Commerce to Community”. She counts the very successful 2019, “Professional Women’s Summit” and the work of both the Legislative and the “Retire! NW New Mexico”, Committees, as two of the Farmington Chambers recent successes. She feels confident that there are opportunities for economic development and community success post-covid and is excited to be involved in collaboration with so many community partners as we move forward together.
