Preserving the Past, Making Way for the Future

The Deming Luna Mimbres Museum has the largest collection of exhibits in New Mexico. Located in the 1916 red-brick National Guard Armory building, the Deming  Museum has about 25,000 square feet of exhibition space spanning over three buildings including large outdoor exhibit spaces. The  museum Archives is located in the Custom House across the street. The Archives is the repository for historical papers, documents, pictures, books, and maps.

Sylvia Ligocky has been a volunteer at the Museum Archives since 1999. Sylvia is a retired educator with a Masters degree from Western New Mexico State University. She has two children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grand children.
